Cc: Nyle Zikmund <br />Subject: RE: Questions aon Edgewood Middle School public hearing notice <br />Mark, <br />Your emails will be provided to the Planning Commission. <br />The additions onto the school require three approvals; (1) Variance to parking lot setback, (2) <br />Administrative Variance to driveway width, and (3) Development Review. The Variances require <br />Public Hearings, but the Development Review does not. No public notices are provided for items <br />that do not require a Public Hearing. <br />A Development Review is a comparison of the proposed plans to City Code requirements. The <br />project will include a driveway at the intersection of Woodale Dr and Greenfield Ave. I believe that <br />cars using this access will travel Woodale Dr to Mounds View Blvd, and would travel the same route <br />if using the existing access on Edgwood Dr. The new gym/pool is likely to attract more <br />activities/users, and thus more traffic. <br />Woodale Dr is planned to be reconstructed in the near future.
