Mounds View City Council February 11, 2019 <br />Regular Meeting Page 5 <br /> <br />the Public Works Department. He reported the current cart has broken down several times and 1 <br />was in need of replacement. He stated the new cart would be used to complete work in the City’s 2 <br />parks and he described the work this cart could complete. He explained this was a budgeted 3 <br />expense for 2019. 4 <br /> 5 <br />MOTION/SECOND: Mueller/Gunn. To Waive the Reading and Adopt Resolution 9082 6 <br />Approving the Purchase of a Utility Cart for the Public Works Department. 7 <br /> 8 <br /> Ayes – 5 Nays – 0 Motion carried. 9 <br /> 10 <br />9. REPORTS 11 <br />A. Reports of Mayor and Council. 12 <br /> 13 <br />Council Member Gunn thanked the Police Foundation and Police Chief Harder for all of their 14 <br />efforts to put on the Daddy Daughter Dance. 15 <br /> 16 <br />Council Member Gunn reported the next Festival in the Park Committee meeting would be held 17 <br />on Tuesday, February 19th at the Community Center at 7:00 p.m. 18 <br /> 19 <br />Council Member Gunn noted on Thursday, February 21st the I-35W Coalition would be meeting. 20 <br /> 21 <br />Council Member Meehlhause thanked all of the volunteers who assisted to make the Daddy 22 <br />Daughter Dance an amazing event for the community. 23 <br /> 24 <br />Council Member Meehlhause stated last Thursday, he and Council Member Gunn attended the 25 <br />Northeast Youth and Family Services Service to Youth Award Ceremony. He congratulated 26 <br />Principal Penny Howard for receiving an award this year. 27 <br /> 28 <br />Council Member Meehlhause reported he would be attending an NYFS Executive Committee 29 <br />meeting on Thursday, February 14th. 30 <br /> 31 <br />Council Member Hull thanked Welch’s on 10 for providing food at the Daddy Daughter Dance. 32 <br /> 33 <br />Council Member Hull thanked the Public Works Department for all of their great efforts to keep 34 <br />the City’s streets free and clear of snow. 35 <br /> 36 <br />Council Member Bergeron also thanked the Public Works Department. 37 <br /> 38 <br />Mayor Mueller thanked Sherry Gunn for serving as the Acting Mayor last week while she was 39 <br />out of town. 40 <br /> 41 <br />Mayor Mueller reported the Ramsey County Sheriff’s Office is holding a Scouting Day on 42 <br />Saturday, February 23rd from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at their location on 1425 Paul Kirkwood 43 <br />Drive in Arden Hills. 44 <br /> 45
