Mounds View City Council April 8, 2019 <br />Regular Meeting Page 4 <br /> <br />Dedication Fund. Staff commented further on the proposed project and recommended approval. <br /> <br />Mayor Mueller questioned if picnic tables would be purchased for the park shelters. Public <br />Works Director Peterson stated he was waiting on a bid for the picnic tables and anticipated he <br />would be purchasing four tables for each shelter. <br /> <br />MOTION/SECOND: Gunn/Meehlhause. To Waive the Reading and Adopt Resolution 9097, <br />Approving the Purchase and Installation of (2) 20’ x 20’ Park Shelters for City Hall Park. <br /> <br /> Ayes – 4 Nays – 0 Motion carried. <br /> <br />9. REPORTS <br />A. Reports of Mayor and Council. <br /> <br />Council Member Gunn invited the public to attend Coffee with a Cop on Tuesday, April 9th at <br />9:00 a.m. at McDonald’s. <br /> <br />Council Member Gunn reported the Mounds View Police Foundation would be meeting on <br />Tuesday, April 9th at 4:30 p.m. <br /> <br />Council Member Gunn stated last Thursday she attended a press conference for the Sexual <br />Assault Response Collaboration. She noted Police Chief Harder was present, along with all other <br />police departments in the Ramsey County area. <br /> <br />Council Member Gunn reported on Saturday, April 27th the SBM Fire Department would be <br />installing smoke detectors within the community. She explained the fire department was seeking <br />volunteers to assist with the event. <br /> <br />Council Member Meehlhause stated he would be attending an NYFS Executive Committee <br />meeting on Thursday, April 11th. On Wednesday, April 17th he would be attending an NYFS <br />Human Resources Committee meeting. <br /> <br />Council Member Meehlhause reported last Thursday he and Andy Thomas attended the YMCA’s <br />Annual State of the YMCA breakfast gathering. <br /> <br />Council Member Meehlhause requested the Council review the Citizen of the Year criteria. He <br />stated he would like to have long-standing residents be considered for this award even if they <br />move out of the community. <br /> <br />Mayor Mueller stated on Friday, April 13th she would be attending an Executive Board meeting <br />for the Minnesota Women in City Government. <br /> <br />Mayor Mueller noted she would be attending the Minnesota Mayor’s Conference at the end of <br />April. <br />
