RESOLUTION 9104 <br />CITY OF MOUNDS VIEW <br />COUNTY OF RAMSEY <br />STATE OF MINNESOTA <br />APPROVAL FOR THE REPLACEMENT OF THE EXTERIOR DOORS AT THE <br />MOUNDS VIEW COMMUNITY CENTER <br />WHEREAS, Staff has met with the YMCA Staff members regarding building <br />alterations for the Community Center and the ideas were presented to the YMCA <br />Advisory Committee, and <br />WHEREAS, The Community Center exterior doors and the internal hardware are <br />original (1997) and have been malfunctioning for the past several months, and <br />WHEREAS, Staff has been making repairs to keep the doors functioning, however <br />it has become obvious that the doors are in need of replacement; and <br />WHEREAS, Public Works Staff has received two quotes to replace the exterior <br />doors and hardware. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Mounds <br />View, Ramsey County, Minnesota as follows: <br />1. Approves the quote from Bredemus Hardware of St. Paul, MN to replace the <br />exterior doors and hardware at a cost of $18,857.54 to be funded from account <br />480-4180-7050, Special Projects. <br />2. Staff also recommends a 10% contingency of $1,855.75 for any unforeseen <br />issues that may arise. <br />The Director of Public.Works is hereby authorized and directed to execute all <br />appropriate documents to effectuate the actions contemplated by this <br />resolution. <br />4. The Mayor and City Administrator, Staff and consultants are hereby authorized <br />and directed to take any and all additional steps and actions necessary or <br />convenient in order to accomplish the intent of this Resolution. <br />Adopted this 22"d day of April, 2019 <br />Carol A.
