Mounds View City Council April 22, 2019 <br />Regular Meeting Page 5 <br /> <br /> <br />MOTION/SECOND: Bergeron/Hull. To Waive the Reading and Adopt Resolution 9105, <br />Approving the Purchase of a Floor Sweeper Scrubber for the Public Works Facility. <br /> <br /> Ayes – 5 Nays – 0 Motion carried. <br /> <br />E. Resolution 9106, Authorization to Advertise and Hire for the Position of <br />Police Administrative Assistant. <br /> <br />City Administrator Zikmund requested the Council authorize staff to advertise and hire for the <br />position of Police Administrative Assistant. He reported this position was vacant at this time and <br />noted the position would be posted on a number of different websites. He noted the position <br />would be posted for 10 days. <br /> <br />MOTION/SECOND: Hull/Bergeron. To Waive the Reading and Adopt Resolution 9106, <br />Authorization to Advertise and Hire for the Position of Police Administrative Assistant. <br /> <br />Mayor Mueller asked when this position would be filled. City Administrator Zikmund explained <br />staff would be working to fill the position as quickly as possible but anticipated it would take two <br />months to find a qualified candidate. <br /> <br /> Ayes – 5 Nays – 0 Motion carried. <br /> <br />9. REPORTS <br />A. Reports of Mayor and Council. <br /> <br />Council Member Gunn stated on Monday, April 29th the Mounds View Police Foundation would <br />be having a fundraiser and bake sale at the Texas Roadhouse in Coon Rapids from 4:00 p.m. to <br />10:00 p.m. <br /> <br />Council Member Gunn explained she attended the Minnesota Chiefs of Police Conference in St. <br />Cloud with City Administrator Zikmund last Tuesday. <br /> <br />Council Member Gunn indicated she would be going out with the SBM Fire Department to <br />install smoke detectors in the community on Saturday, April 27th. <br /> <br />Council Member Meehlhause commented the NYFS Board meeting for Thursday, April 25th had <br />been canceled. <br /> <br />Council Member Meehlhause stated on Tuesday, April 30th he would be attending the <br />Community Support Center’s Luncheon. <br /> <br />Council Member Meehlhause explained on Wednesday, May 1st he would be attending the NYFS <br />Leadership Luncheon. <br />
