Mounds View City Council April 22, 2019 <br />Regular Meeting Page 6 <br /> <br />Council Member Meehlhause stated on Saturday, May 4th at 2:00 p.m. and 6:00 p.m., and 1 <br />Sunday, May 5th at 2:00 p.m. the Pinewood Elementary School would be putting on a 2 <br />performance of Mary Poppins Junior at the Irondale High School. 3 <br /> 4 <br />Council Member Bergeron encouraged the public to attend the Pinewood Elementary School 5 <br />performances of Mary Poppins Junior at Irondale High School. 6 <br /> 7 <br />Council Member Meehlhause reported on Wednesday, May 15th through Friday, May 17th the 8 <br />Mounds View Lions would be sponsoring their annual garage sale at Hillview Park. 9 <br /> 10 <br />Council Member Bergeron commented he was back and thanked the Council for the well wishes 11 <br />while he was recovering. 12 <br /> 13 <br />Mayor Mueller stated on Tuesday, April 23rd at 5:00 p.m. she would be attending a ribbon cutting 14 <br />ceremony at Edgewood Middle School. She discussed the renovations that would be made to 15 <br />Edgewood Middle School. 16 <br /> 17 <br />Mayor Mueller explained she would be attending a Joint Comprehensive Plan Task Force 18 <br />meeting with all City Commissions and the City Council on Tuesday, April 23rd at 6:30 p.m. 19 <br /> 20 <br />Mayor Mueller reported on Thursday, April 25th she would be attending a League of Minnesota 21 <br />Cities Safety Workshop during the day and would be attending the Ramsey County League of 22 <br />Local Government meeting that night. 23 <br /> 24 <br />Mayor Mueller stated on Friday, April 26th and Saturday, April 27th she would be attending the 25 <br />Minnesota Mayors Conference in Stillwater. 26 <br /> 27 <br />Mayor Mueller commented the Public Works Department would be flushing water lines this 28 <br />week. Residents were encouraged to contact City Hall with any concerns. 29 <br /> 30 <br /> B. Reports of Staff. 31 <br /> 32 <br />Finance Director Beer reported the City received a grant for advertising from Twin Cities 33 <br />Gateway. He questioned how these funds should be distributed. The Council supported sending 34 <br />$1,500 to the YMCA with the remainder going to Festival in the Park. 35 <br /> 36 <br />City Administrator Zikmund commended Finance Director Beer for his tremendous efforts on 37 <br />behalf of the City and for having a clean audit. 38 <br /> 39 <br />City Administrator Zikmund reviewed the items the Council would be discussing at the May 40 <br />worksession meeting. 41 <br /> 42 <br />C.
