Mounds View City Council April 22, 2019 <br />Regular Meeting Page 5 <br /> <br /> 1 <br />MOTION/SECOND: Bergeron/Hull. To Waive the Reading and Adopt Resolution 9105, 2 <br />Approving the Purchase of a Floor Sweeper Scrubber for the Public Works Facility. 3 <br /> 4 <br /> Ayes – 5 Nays – 0 Motion carried. 5 <br /> 6 <br />E. Resolution 9106, Authorization to Advertise and Hire for the Position of 7 <br />Police Administrative Assistant. 8 <br /> 9 <br />City Administrator Zikmund requested the Council authorize staff to advertise and hire for the 10 <br />position of Police Administrative Assistant. He reported this position was vacant at this time and 11 <br />noted the position would be posted on a number of different websites. He noted the position 12 <br />would be posted for 10 days. 13 <br /> 14 <br />MOTION/SECOND: Hull/Bergeron. To Waive the Reading and Adopt Resolution 9106, 15 <br />Authorization to Advertise and Hire for the Position of Police Administrative Assistant. 16 <br /> 17 <br />Mayor Mueller asked when this position would be filled. City Administrator Zikmund explained 18 <br />staff would be working to fill the position as quickly as possible but anticipated it would take two 19 <br />months to find a qualified candidate. 20 <br /> 21 <br /> Ayes – 5 Nays – 0 Motion carried. 22 <br /> 23 <br />9. REPORTS 24 <br />A. Reports of Mayor and Council. 25 <br /> 26 <br />Council Member Gunn stated on Monday, April 29th the Mounds View Police Foundation would 27 <br />be having a fundraiser and bake sale at the Texas Roadhouse in Coon Rapids from 4:00 p.m. to 28 <br />10:00 p.m. 29 <br /> 30 <br />Council Member Gunn explained she attended the Minnesota Chiefs of Police Conference in St. 31 <br />Cloud with City Administrator Zikmund last Tuesday. 32 <br /> 33 <br />Council Member Gunn indicated she would be going out with the SBM Fire Department to 34 <br />install smoke detectors in the community on Saturday, April 27th. 35 <br /> 36 <br />Council Member Meehlhause commented the NYFS Board meeting for Thursday, April 25th had 37 <br />been canceled. 38 <br /> 39 <br />Council Member Meehlhause stated on Tuesday, April 30th he would be attending the 40 <br />Community Support Center’s Luncheon. 41 <br /> 42 <br />Council Member Meehlhause explained on Wednesday, May 1st he would be attending the NYFS 43 <br />Leadership Luncheon. 44 <br /> 45
