Resolution 1097-19 <br />Page 4 of 4 <br />INHProperties commissioned a market study, completed by Viewpoint <br />Consulting Group; entitled, "Demand Assessment for Market Rate Rental <br />Housing in Mounds View, Minnesota", dated April 23, 2018. <br />The study suggests an unmet market rate rental demand of 866 units <br />within the Mounds View Prime Market Area, generally including all or <br />portions of; Arden Hills, Blaine, Circle Pines, Columbia Heights, Coon <br />Rapids, Fridley, Lexington, Mounds View, New Brighton, Saint Anthony <br />Village, Shoreview, and Spring Lake Park. The study recommends 130 — <br />140 units be developed on the subject properties, capturing 15% - 20% of <br />that demand, between years 2017 — 2022. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT FINALLY RESOLVED, that the Mounds View <br />Planning Commission directs Staff to forward this resolution to the City Council before approval <br />of the minutes. <br />Adopted this 19th day of June, 2019 <br />ATTEST: <br />SEAL) <br />An--- - - <br />Jon d, Commumty Development Director
