Item No: 08C <br />Meeting Date: July 8, 2019 <br />MOUNDS <br />VIEW <br />Type of Business: Council Business <br />City Administrator Review: <br />City of Mounds View Staff Report <br />To: Honorable Mayor and City Council <br />From: Jon Sevald, Community Development Director <br />Item Title/Subject: Second Reading and Adoption of Ordinance 959, Amending <br />Section 1104.02, Subd 4(c) (Minimum Floor Area Per Dwelling <br />Unit) (Planning Case MU2019-001) <br />Introduction: <br />INH Properties is proposing to develop a 128 -unit apartment building at the south corner of <br />Mounds View Boulevard and County Road H2. The project involves multiple planning <br />applications, including a request to amend the City Code to allow Studio Apartments. <br />Discussion: <br />The proposed apartments will include a mix of studios, one -bedroom, two-bedroom, and three- <br />bedroom units. The City Code establishes a minimum floor area based on the number of <br />bedrooms.
