RESOLUTION NO 9149 <br />CITY OF MOUNDS VIEW <br />COUNTY OF RAMSEY <br />STATE OF MINNESOTA <br />APPROVING THE PROMOTION OF JENNIFER NELSON TO <br />COMMUNICATION TECHNICIAN/RECYCLING COORDINATOR/RECEPTIONIST <br />WHEREAS, Jennifer Nelson was hired as Receptionist/AV Support; and <br />WHEREAS, upon hire Ms. Nelson worked with minimal supervision, learned all <br />functions of the Receptionist/AV Support position, plus cross -trained in the Community <br />Development Department to support the Permit Technician in order to add more value to <br />the City of Mounds View; and <br />WHEREAS, Ms. Nelson's job description has been enhanced to include the new <br />duties which have been incorporated into the position which include communication and <br />HR support, and our consultant has evaluated the job description with the below pay <br />range; and <br />Step 1 <br />Step 1.5 <br />Step 2 Step 3 <br />Step 4 <br />Step 5 <br />22.39 <br />23.09 <br />23.79 25.19 <br />26.59 <br />27.99 <br />WHEREAS, Ms. Nelson is recommended to be assigned to Step 2 of the wage <br />scale effective August 12, 2019. <br />NOW, THEREFORE IT BE RESOLVED THAT the City Council of the City of <br />Mounds View approves the following: <br />1. Jennifer Nelson shall be promoted to the Communication Technician/Recycling <br />Coordinator/Receptionist position effective August 12, 2019, and be assigned to <br />Step 2 of the pay range. <br />2. Ms. Nelson shall be subject to a six-month promotional probationary period, and <br />move to Step 3 on August 12, 2020 on her one-year anniversary. <br />ATTEST: <br />Adopted this 12th day of August, 2019 <br />Carol A.
