He described the inspection process that <br />2 was followed on a yearly basis. <br />3 <br />4 Council Member Gunn reported the I -35W Coalition met and a decision was made to dissolve <br />5 the group. She explained this group has done their due diligence and the I -35W improvement <br />6 project was underway. She indicated the necessary paperwork has been forwarded to the City <br />7 Administrator for signature. She anticipated the City would be receiving a small amount of funds <br />8 back from this group. <br />9 <br />10 Council Member Gunn invited all residents to attend the National Night Out Pre -Party at City <br />11 Hall on Saturday, August Yd from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. She explained National Night Out <br />12 would be held on Tuesday, August 6th. She encouraged residents to register their neighborhood <br />13 parties with the Mounds View Police Department. <br />14 <br />15 Council Member Gunn reported Festival in the Park would be held on Saturday, August 17th at <br />16 Silver View Park. <br />17 <br />18 Council Member Meehlhause reported the Twin Cities Convention and Visitor's Bureau met at <br />19 Moe's last week. He thanked Steve Markuson and Al Stauffacher for their tremendous marketing <br />20 efforts. He then reviewed the hotel hospitality tax revenues for 2019. <br />21 <br />22 Mayor Mueller stated she received a letter from the Mayor of North Oaks thanking her for her <br />23 service on the League of Minnesota Cities Committee that helped complete the awards judging. <br />24 <br />25 Mayor Mueller noted she attended a Five Cities meeting last Monday where workforce and <br />26 market rate housing was discussed. <br />27 <br />28 Mayor Mueller reported on Monday, July 15th she toured the affordable workforce housing <br />29 project that would be constructed at the corner of Mounds View Boulevard and Groveland Road. <br />30 She discussed the amenities that would be included in the housing units and indicated this was <br />31 shaping up to be a beautiful facility. <br />32 <br />33 Mayor Mueller wished Vanessa Van Alstine all the best in her retirement. <br />34 <br />35 Mayor Mueller reported the Festival in the Park Committee was seeking volunteers to assist with <br />36 setting up for the Car Show on Friday, August 16th. She noted there was also a need to help with <br />37 parking the cars. <br />38 <br />39 B. Reports of Staff. <br />40 <br />41 Public Works Director Peterson reported seasonal employees will be off to college in the first <br />42 weeks of August and noted he would be hiring fall seasonal employees shortly. <br />43 <br />44 Public Works Director Peterson stated the Parks, Recreation and Forestry Commission was <br />45 wondering if they should continue looking into a dog park. <br />
