Mounds View City Council August 12, 2019 <br />Regular Meeting Page 5 <br />1 <br />2 Public Works Director Peterson requested the Council approve purchase and installation of <br />3 electronic locks at the City Hall playground and splash pad building. He explained the locks <br />4 would be programmable and would alert staff if doors were ajar. Staff reviewed the bids for this <br />5 project and recommended approval of the project. It was noted the expense for the electronic <br />6 locks would be covered by the Special Projects Fund. <br />7 <br />s Mayor Mueller questioned when this project would be completed. Public Works Director <br />9 Peterson anticipated the work would be completed after Labor Day. <br />10 <br />11 MOTION/SECOND: Bergeron/Gunn. REPORTS <br />18 A. Reports of Mayor and Council. <br />19 <br />20 Council Member Gunn invited all residents to attend Festival in the Park this weekend. She <br />21 reviewed the events that had been planned for this year, which included a parade, dance, car <br />22 show, bike race, music, K-9 demonstrations, fireworks and festivities at Silver View Park. <br />23 <br />24 Council Member Meehlhause reported he would no longer be serving on the Executive <br />25 Committee for NYFS but noted he would be serving on the Finance Committee. <br />26 <br />27 Council Member Bergeron thanked everyone who hosted or attended a Night to Unite gathering <br />28 on Tuesday, August 6th. He thanked the Police Department, Fire Department, Allina and the <br />29 Irondale Band for their presence in the City at various events. <br />30 <br />31 Mayor Mueller commented on a barking dog situation that was addressed at a recent worksession <br />32 meeting. <br />33 <br />34 Mayor Mueller reported she was looking forward to attending the Festival in the Park Committee <br />35 meeting on Tuesday, August 13th where all final details would be wrapped up for this year's <br />36 event. She explained she was seeking volunteers to assist with setting up a tent for the car show <br />37 on Friday, August 16th from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. She encouraged all residents to attend this year's <br />38 Festival in the Park activities which were planned for Friday, August 16th and Saturday, August <br />39 17th <br />40 <br />41 B.
