Resolution 9201 Continued <br />WHEREAS, additional exterior building repairs are needed for and during the rehabilitation <br />project for an estimated cost of $175,000.00, with Inspec Engineering overseeing this aspect of <br />the project; and <br />WHEREAS, Staff is recommending a 5% construction contingency of $161,845.00, for a <br />total project cost of $3,773,078.00. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Mounds View, <br />Ramsey County, Minnesota as follows: <br />1. The bid proposal submitted by Shank Constructors of Brooklyn Park MN with a base bid of <br />$1,484, 200.00, Alternate 1 of $1,004,100.00 and Alternate 2 of $573,600.00, for a total <br />amount of $3,061,900.00 for the Water Treatment Rehabilitation of plants 2, 3 and the <br />Booster Station. <br />2. City Council authorizes staff to have a construction contract drafted as outlined by AE2S in <br />the project manual. <br />3. Accepts the Additional Construction Phase Services and Programing of the new SCADA <br />software from AE2S for $385,050.00. <br />4. Approves a budget amount of $175,000.00 for exterior building repairs as outlined by <br />Inspec Engineering. This portion of the project will be bid and awarded by the City Council <br />at a later City Council meeting. <br />5. Approves a construction contingency of 5% or $161,845.00 for any unforeseen issues that <br />arise during the rehabilitation. The Director of Public Works is authorized to make approvals <br />related to contract modifications during construction of the Project on behalf of the City <br />Council. <br />6. The Mayor and City Administrator are hereby authorized and directed to execute all <br />appropriate documents to effectuate the actions contemplated by this resolution. <br />7.
