Crossroad Pointe Redevelopment Project <br />Closing on the sale of Crossroad Pointe is on track for May 1, 2019. Groundbreaking for the <br />approximately 127 unit market rate apartments is expected Q2 2019. <br /> <br />B. Rice Creek Commons (TCAAP) Development Update <br />Project engineers are in the process of finalizing plans for mass grading, utility installation, and primary <br />roadways on the site. This work will be completed in 2019. Initially, the first phase of housing and early <br />commercial construction was expected to begin in 2021 and when fully realized, the mixed-use <br />development was expected to offer 1,460 housing units, support at least 4,000 living-wage jobs, and <br />generate approximately $8.6 million in property taxes annually. However, the County has decided not to <br />participate with the City of Arden Hills. Therefore, all timelines and plan are up-in-the-air. <br /> <br />C. North Metro Business Council Meeting <br />MnDOT presented at the March 13, 2019 meeting. A verbal update can be provided at the EDC by <br />those who were in attendance. The next North Metro Business Council meeting will be held June 12, <br />2019 from 7:30-9:00 a.m. at the Mermaid Event Center. The topic is TBD. All meetings are free. <br /> <br />D. MWF Properties <br />MWF Properties is in the process of constructing a 60 unit workforce housing project located along <br />Mounds View Boulevard and Groveland Road. Construction is expected to be completed by December <br />2019. <br /> <br />E. Skyline Motel <br />The EDA must close within 90 days or around May 1, 2019. Once the purchase has been finalized, staff <br />will begin the recruitment efforts to attract a user to the site. A developer proposal was heard by the <br />EDA March 11, 2019 for a hotel concept. Other developers are also showing interest in the site. The <br />EDA also discusses broker fees for the project. <br /> <br />F. Other Upcoming Events/Reports <br />Citizen of the Year nominations are due by Friday, March 22, 2019. Fillable nomination forms are <br />posted on the City website. The Town Hall meeting will be held Monday, April 15 from 6:00-8:30 p.m. at <br />the Mounds View Community Center. The Mounds View Police Foundation in conjunction with Texas <br />Road House (Coon Rapids) is sponsoring a fundraiser on Monday, April 29th from 5:00 p.m. to close. A <br />percent of your dinner ticket will be donated to the Mounds View Police Foundation which helps fund <br />outreach programs for the Mounds View Police Department. You can either snap a picture or cut out <br />the article in the Mounds View Matters to and show your server so your meal will benefit the Mounds <br />View Police Foundation.
