The Truth-in-taxation meeting was held <br />on December 2, 2019 and the public was provided an opportunity to comment. The City Council has <br />proposed a final levy increase of 4.2% for the General Fund and the police officer referendums increased <br />by 0.37%. There is no change in the Street Improvement levy of $150,000 and debt service requires a <br />levy increase of 0.06%. The overall increase is 4.63% for all levies. <br /> <br />The City Council may adopt the tax levy on December 9th or schedule an additional meeting if necessary <br />to adopt it no later than December 27, 2019. <br /> <br />Staff recommends that the City Council consider resolution 9196 adopting the 2020 property tax levy. <br /> <br /> <br />Respectfully submitted, <br /> <br /> <br />________________________ <br />Mark Beer <br />
