RESOLUTION NO. 9196 <br /> <br /> CITY OF MOUNDS VIEW <br /> COUNTY OF RAMSEY <br /> STATE OF MINNESOTA <br /> <br /> Adopting the 2020 Property Tax Levy <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City Council has conducted numerous meetings and has made available detailed copies <br />of the proposed 2020 Budget; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City Council provided the public an opportunity to speak at the Truth in Taxation meeting <br />on December 2, 2019 and at the several budget meeting to take comment on the proposed 2020 tax <br />levy; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Fire Improvement Bonds and Notes will require debt service of $171,190 due to changes <br />in the allocation of costs between participating cities. <br /> <br />NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Mounds View that the following <br />property tax levy for 2020 is hereby approved: <br /> <br />General Fund base levy $ 4,472,248 <br />Fire bonds and notes debt service 171,190 <br />PERA rate increase levy 39,145 <br />Police Referendum market value levy 2017 110,000 <br />Police Referendum market value levy 2004 220,000 <br />Total General Fund property tax levy $ 5,012,583 <br /> <br /> Street Improvement Capital Projects Fund levy $ 150,000 <br /> <br />2017 Capital Improvement Bonds Debt Service levy $ 416,294 <br /> <br /> Total Property Tax Levy $ 5,578,877 <br /> <br />and the City Administrator is hereby directed to notify Ramsey County and the State of Minnesota of said <br />2020 property tax levy. <br /> <br />Said resolution was declared to have been duly passed and adopted this 9th day of December, 2019. <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> __________________________ <br /> Carol A.
