ROLL CALL: Palm, Arel, Aukee, Peterson | Staff: DeBar <br />3. SPECIAL ORDER OF BUSINESS <br />A. Oath of Office for Commission Member (Palm) <br />B. Designate Officers for 2011 Meetings (Chair, Vice-Chair, Secretary) <br /> Motion by Peterson, 2nd by Aukee to continue with existing officers for 2011. Motion <br /> Passed 4-0 <br />4. APPROVAL OF AGENDA: Change to discuss Item 9B before 8A. Motion to approve with <br />change by Aukee, 2nd by Palm. Motion Passed 4-0. <br />5. APPROVAL OF MINUTES <br />A. December 16, 2010 Meeting Minutes. Fix a few typos, change “pass unanimous” to 5-0 to <br />keep consistent with previous minutes. Motion to approve with changes by Palm, 2nd by <br />Arel. Motion Passed 4-0 <br />6. PUBLIC INPUT <br />Citizens may speak to issues not on tonight’s agenda. Before speaking, please give your full <br />name and address. Please limit your comments to three minutes. <br />Richard Sonterre: 5060 Red Oak Drive. Concerns with hockey and skating operations. Hours of <br />operation posted at park buildings are not consistent with posted hours on website. <br />Encouraging PRF Commission and MVCC to coincide hours of operation with school calendar <br />for days off. Also provide seating/picnic benches at rear of building for putting skates on/off <br />when building is not open. Inquiring about policy to reserve rinks and warming house. <br />7. YMCA UPDATE <br />A. Program Updates: Rich Spiczka, Director MVCC/YMCA: Transition between directors is <br />some cause to rink issues. New classes: Zumba, yoga, tumbling. Preparing Mounds View <br />Matters. Looking into details for Music-in-the-Park third Thursday of June, July, and August. <br />8. UNFINISHED BUSINESS <br />A. Review Schedule and Next Steps for Lambert Park Building Demolition/Construction: <br />Revised schedule. Working on logistics of using another firm to assist with original <br />architectural plans purchased and stay within approved budget of $5,000-$15,000. If an <br />architect can be obtained, DeBar to move ahead for approval with City Council. Meet on <br />Feb. 17th at 6:00 at Groveland building to discuss layout options.
