1/1 <br />M E M O R A N D U M <br />TO: PARKS AND RECREATION AND FORESTRY COMMISSION <br />FROM: NICK DEBAR | PUBLIC WORKS DIRECTOR <br />DATE: NOVEMBER 21, 2013 <br />RE: RECOMMEND APPLICANTS FOR 3-YEAR COMMISSION TERMS <br />Terms of two current members of the current Parks and Recreation and Forestry Commission <br />are set to expire at the end of this year. The current status of Commission memberships are as <br />follows: <br />Seat Commission Member Term Expiration <br />A1 Dave Long 12-31-2014 <br />A2 Gerald Arel 12-31-2014 <br />A3 Dale Aukee 12-31-2014 <br />B1 John Kroeger 12-31-2015 <br />B2 Steven Katovich 12-31-2015 <br />B3 vacant 12-31-2015 <br />C1 Jerry Kunz 12-31-2013 <br />C2 Cindy Palm 12-31-2013 <br />C3 vacant 12-31-2013 <br />The City is in the process of solicited applications from residents interested in serving on the <br />Commission but haven’t received any as of the date of this meeting. The deadline for <br />applications is November 22, 2013. <br />The Commission will need to make appointment recommendations for the vacant seats and a <br />Chair position for next year’s Commission meetings. These recommendations will be <br />forwarded to the City Council for consideration. The City Council is anticipated to make <br />appointments at their December 9, 2013 regular meeting. <br /> <br />ITEM NO. 8A
