ROLL CALL: <br />Commissioners: Arel, Aukee*, Katovich, Kroeger, Kunz, Long*, Palm, Rundle, Roste <br /> Staff: Erickson, Peterson | YMCA: Danielson* *to be absent <br />3. APPROVAL OF AGENDA: Motion by Palm, 2nd by Kroeger to amend the agenda to add <br />Item 4C: Reappointment Oath for Gary Rundle, and approve as amended. Motion <br />Passed 6-0. <br />4. SPECIAL BUSINESS <br />A. Reappointment Oath for John Kroeger by Brian Erickson <br />B. Reappointment Oath for Steve Katovich by Brian Erickson <br />C. Reappointment Oath for Gary Rundle by Brian Erickson <br /> <br />5. APPROVAL OF MINUTES <br />A. December 17, 2015: Motion to approve by Rundle, 2nd by Kroeger. Motion Passed 6-0 <br />6. PUBLIC INPUT <br />Citizens may speak to issues not on tonight’s agenda. Before speaking, please give your full <br />name and address. Please limit your comments to three minutes. <br />Council Member Gary Meehlhause-Encourages the Commission to visit the Random Park <br />building to see its condition. If the Park Dedication Fund is depleted, the Council can use the <br />Special Projects Fund or set up a Park Fund whereby they would move dollars from the <br />General Fund and create a new fund if needed. Encourages the Commission to continue to <br />plan for the park improvements, be aware of the fund balance, but communicate with the City <br />about upcoming project funding. <br />7. STAFF REPORTS <br />A. YMCA: See attach report: YMCA is expanding their teen programs. The latest is Youth in <br />Government involving 1400 youth from around MN in a 4-day conference. 115 students <br />from IHS, MVHS, Edgewood, Chippewa, and Highview attended. Looking to expand the <br />program next year. Adding Model United Nations this spring. Youth basketball and <br />volleyball leagues against other YMCA teams. Other classes include cooking, dodgeball, <br />“Come Play with Me.” Teen Leaders Club paired up with Bel Rae residents to visit Feed My <br />Starving Children today! This year ice rink usage: Lambert 510, Hillview 559. Festival in the <br />Park 5K will be August 20th 8:30 am. Moving Oakwood soccer to City Hall this summer due <br />to street construction. <br />B. Public Works: See attached report. <br />
