Public Works Staff Report <br />2/3 <br />with an above ground control. 2014 Budget: $5,000 (General Fund). Obtaining quotes from <br />contractor’s project pushed out to 2017. <br />Random Park: <br />Staff meet with contractor to obtain quote for work to be done both on the interior and exterior of the <br />building. To be discussed tonight item 7D. <br />City Hall Campus: <br />Irrigation & Landscaping Improvements: The front of City Hall is planned to have new landscaping <br />features installed and irrigation system expanded to cover dead spots and the portion of the park <br />between City Hall and County Highway 10 (volley ball area). 2014 Budget: $25,000 (Spec. <br />Projects Fund). Met with landscape architects in July to develop scope of work. The CHPTF task <br />force was created and meet to discuss the campus, the task force will be meeting and bring <br />information forward at a future PRF Commission Meeting. <br /> Groveland Park: <br />Tennis/Basketball Court Rehabilitation (Design): Involves evaluation, design, and bidding <br />documents for option selected, to be constructed in 2016. 2014 Budget: $15,000 (PDF). <br />Evaluating scope of work and developing better cost estimates. To be completed this year mid- <br />summer. <br />Trails/Sidewalk: <br />Hillview Road, Quincy Street and Jackson Drive (2016 Street project) Staff has been meeting with <br />engineering firm to design of streets and project. Bolton and Menk continues to work on design for <br />construction this year. Construction under way. <br />City Council approved awarding contact to Bolton and Menk for design and construction of Trail <br />segments #6 and #11. Tail design to be completed in 2015 with construction occurring in 2016. <br />Staff had kick off meeting with engineering firm July 16, 2015. Pre-construction meeting scheduled <br />for Friday, June 24. Construction started on July 25, 2016 and estimated completion is late <br />September. <br />Community Center: <br />ESP program: Financing has been approved and paper work in the process of being reviewed and <br />signed, the entire project will be completed by the end of August 2015. Staff is continuing to <br />receive quotes for the remodel project for the Community Center Offices and Prep-Kitchen. ESP <br />project to start early August and through October. Solar Panels installed, Contracts have been <br />signed and sent to Xcel, waiting on meters to be installed. <br />Greenfield Park: <br />RCWD ARJD#1 Project: Rice Creek Watershed District is planning the re-profiling and repair of <br />Anoka-Ramsey Judicial Ditch No. 1 which runs through Greenfield Park. Also included is Branch <br />No. 5 which is located behind the baseball outfield and crosses below the parking lot entrance. <br />Staff will be meeting with RCWSD to inquire the status of this work. Public Works Director <br />Erickson discussed the status of this project with RCWD and they plan on trying to complete this <br />work in 2016; however, there are a number of details that need to be worked out before this can <br />begin including: timing to minimize impacts to the park and where to put the dredging spoils. The <br />goal is to complete this coordination by early April. Staff is still trying to coordinate details with the <br />RCWD. <br /> <br />MCES Sewer Interceptor Project: <br />Metropolitan Council Environmental Services is planning to improve a large diameter sewer pipe <br />at the northwest corner of Quincy and Hillview. MCES is finalizing construction plans and have <br />been reviewed by engineering division, comments returned to MCES. MCES still planning on a <br />2015 project. Some trees have been tagged in order to be transplanted in other City Parks. <br />Project still scheduled to start later this spring. This project is underway and the contractor is <br />working at the east end (near the I-35W Service Road) excavating for installing their liner. The
