Public Works Staff Report <br />2/4 <br />permanent trailway easements from Scottland Green apartments and Silver Lake Woods <br />Townhome Association <br />• Budget: $150,000 (Spec. Projects Fund). Increased to $452,116.09 based on engineering <br />and construction costs. <br />• Silver View trial pavement was completed Sept. 16, 2016. Northwest Asphalt is working on <br />punch list items and waiting for some concrete sidewalk work to be completed. <br />• Restoration will be competed in spring of 2017 <br />• Contractor is working on punch list items. <br /> <br />Irrigation Improvements at Silver View: <br />• Scope: Expand the irrigation system to cover various locations including around shelter <br />and new playground. <br />• Budget: $15,000 (Park Dedication Fund). <br />• The main irrigation underground control vault will also be replaced with an above ground <br />control. <br />• Staff has been meeting with contractors and currently obtaining quotes for the work. <br />• Staff has started some of this work in house and also meet with electrical contractor for a <br />quote on the electrical work. <br />• Electrical work is completed and work continues on installation of pump and control panel. <br /> <br />Basketball Court: <br />• Contractor has been given the notice to proceed with the restoration of the basketball <br />court, no start date at this time. <br /> <br /> <br />Random Park: <br />Building Renovation: <br />• Scope: Interior and exterior renovation to repair rotted wood fascia, increase meeting <br />space and improve the overall aesthetics of the building. <br />• Budget: $20,000 (Park Dedication Fund). <br />• Contractor has been scheduled for the upgrade in lighting and new carpet installation <br />• All work has been completed by contractor, interior work is completed, and painting of the <br />exterior will be completed in 2017. <br />• Staff is obtaining quotes for new tables, coat rack has been ordered. <br />• Staff will be painting later this summer, early fall. <br />• Contractor has been given the notice to proceed with the restoration of the basketball <br />court. <br /> <br />City Hall Campus: <br />Irrigation & Landscaping Improvements: <br />• Scope: The front of City Hall is planned to have new landscaping features installed and <br />irrigation system expanded to cover dead spots and the portion of the park between City <br />Hall and Mounds View Boulevard (County Highway 10) (volley ball area). <br />• Budget: $25,000 (Special Projects Fund). <br />• The CHPTF task force was created and meet to discuss the campus, the task force will be <br />meeting and bring information forward at a future PRF Commission Meeting, To be <br />discussed tonight. <br />• City Council discussed at the July 17 work session, plans are still to move forward with <br />construction in 2018. <br /> <br />Groveland Park: <br />Tennis/Basketball Court Rehabilitation (Design): <br />• Scope: Evaluation, design, and bidding documents for option selected, to be constructed <br />in 2016.
