The motion
passed unanimously 5 ayes, 0 nayes.
SILVER VIEW PARK PATHWAY Director Saarion stated that the installation
of the Silver View Park pathway extension
would be delayed until fall, 1989. The
pathway would take about two weeks to
install. Following completion, Forester Rick
Wriskey will meet with residents after the
pathway extension is complete, to discuss
plantings along the pathway for spring, 1990
planting.
Director Saarion reviewed the memorandum
regarding the Engineer's recommendation for
installation of a culvert where the foot bridge
is currently in place.
She explained that the Engineer feels the
culvert would make it possible for
maintenance vehicles to cross that area of
the pond for better maintenance of the
pathway.
Director Saarion asked for the Commission's
direction on the recommendation. The
Commission did not feel that they were able
to give direction at this time.
Resident Gary Jones asked staff what the
costs of the constructing the new pathway
were. Staff stated that material costs were
approximately $1,400 for an ag lime
pathway. Mr. Jones requested the cost of
labor. Staff explained that the labor was
budgeted in the General Fund and was not
figured into the cost.
