SILVER VIEW PICNIC SHELTER <br />STUDENT COMMISSIONERS <br />-10 - <br />The Commission requested that staff research <br />into past practices for the possibility of <br />funding such projects from more than one <br />funding source. <br />The Commission directed staff to write a <br />resolution to the City Council, with supporting <br />documentation, to request that one-third of <br />the funds come from the Park Dedication <br />Fund, one-third from the General Fund and <br />one-third from the Storm Water Management <br />Fund. <br />Director Saarion reviewed Mayor Hankner's <br />resolution with the Commission regarding the <br />utilities at Silver View Park. After a lengthy <br />discussion, Commissioner Silvis moved to <br />direct staff to write a resolution to the City <br />Council stating that after revisions to the Long <br />Term Financial Plan as proposed by the Parks <br />and Recreation Commission, there should be <br />sufficient funds in the Park Dedication Fund to <br />adequately fund the installation of sewer, <br />water, and electricity for the Silver View Park <br />picnic shelter. The motion was seconded by <br />C oaun issioner Long. Mlotion passed: 6 ayes, <br />0 nayes. <br />The Commission was asked to consider the <br />possibility of student representatives on the <br />Commission.
