MINUTES OF THE PROCEEDINGS OF THE <br />PARKS AND RECREATION COMMISSION <br />CITY OF MOUNDS VIEW <br />COUNTY OF RAMSEY <br />STATE OF MINNESOTA <br />July 27, 1989 <br />Mounds View City Hall <br />Council Chambers <br />6:30 p.m. <br />CALL TO ORDER The meeting was called to order at 6:35 p.m. by <br />Chairperson Wayne Burmeister. <br />ROLL CALL Commissioners present: Burmeister, Long, Silvis, <br />Starr, Stevenson and Trettel. <br />Councilmembers present: None <br />Staff present: Director Saarion, Administrative <br />Assistant Linke and Student Intern Johnson. <br />APPROVAL OF MINUTES A motion was made by Commissioner Silvis, <br />seconded by Commissioner Long to approve the June <br />22, 1989 minutes as written. Motion passed: <br />6 ayes, 0 nayes. <br />CHAIRPERSON'S REPORT Chairperson Burmeister reported that the Lakeside <br />Park Beach House was 99 percent completed with <br />only small items remaining such as door handles, <br />locks, and some restroom fixtures which are on back <br />order. Director Saarion stated that at this time, the <br />door handles and locks had arrived and have been <br />installed. <br />Chairperson Burmeister stated that concrete curb <br />stops around the parking lot had been added to deter <br />cars from driving on the park grounds. He added <br />that a dedication ceremony for the beach house will <br />be planned at a later date, after total completion of <br />the project. <br />Commissioner Starr inquired about landscaping of <br />the area. Chairperson Burmeister stated that he had <br />measured the area for sod installation and that the <br />Lion's will have a work day to lay the sod. <br />
