-2 -
Commissioner Long asked if the attendance had been
down at the beach. Director Saarion stated that it
had been down quite a bit. Inquiries at other
beaches show low attendance also for reasons
undetermined.
The Commission asked about the installation of the
volleyball courts. Director Saarion stated that
Midwest Asphalt will remove the asphalt from the
tennis court. After that, the sandlot volleyball court
would be installed in that same area.
AGENDA ADDITIONS Director Saarion had five additional items for the
agenda which will be added to the end of the
original agenda. They are:
1. Five Year Capital Improvement Plan review.
2. Long Term Financial Plan review.
3. Culvert at Silver View Park.
4. Silver View Picnic Shelter.
5. Consideration of student commission members.
SILVER VIEW PARK
MASTER PLAN PROPOSAL Director Saarion reviewed her memo to the
Commission regarding the establishment of an in-
house master plan for improvements at Silver View
Park. She requested that the Commission review
each item and be very specific as to changes or
additions.
First, staff reviewed the facilities which are currently
developed at Silver View Park. These include:
1. Woodchipped pathway - the Commission
requested that staff continue to budget for
replacement of wood chips with ag lime (750'
x 8' strip) each year in the operations budget.
2. Two adult softball fields with irrigation.
3. Landscaping - continually rearranged as
needed, by forester.
4. Paved/curbed parking lot entry.
