CITY OF ARDEN HILLS
MEMORANDUM
DAT August 7, 1989
T0: Mayor and City Council
FROM: John T. Buckley, Parks Director
SUBJECT: Arsenal Athletic Field Complex Update
Present Status of Athletic Field :?roposal -
The athletic field proposal was presented to Ted Schulte, Commander's
representative, on April 4, 1989. The proposed concept was approved
by Mr. Schulte and forwarded to the U.S. Army Real Estate Division at
Rock Island, IL for their concept approval. No decision has been made
to date.
I have contacted the offices of Senators Durenberger and Boschwitz,
and Representative Vento for assistance in moving this project
forward.
The contact person for Senator Durenberger is Phil Cohen. The contact
person for Senator Boschwitz is Kim Dettmer, and for Representative
Vento, it is Kate Seng.
All three offices have a copy of our proposal and plan for the
complex. I did receive a positive response from their aides; however,
I do not know whether the Congressmen have contacted the Army on our
behalf.
ACTION REQUIRED:
None, this is for your information only.
JTB:madlr
A
