REPORT TO: MARY SAARION, MOUNDS VIEW PARK AND RECREATION <br />DIRECTOR <br />FROM: TONI MILLER, MOUNDS VIEW PARK AND RECREATION SUMMER <br />PLAYGROUND SUPERVISOR <br />DATE: AUGUST 21, 1989 <br />SUBJECT: REPORT ON SUMMER PLAYGROUND PROGRAM <br />The Mounds View Park and Recreation Summer Playgrounds <br />Program has wrapped up once again. Each Playcenter Leader <br />was asked to complete an evaluation form of their own per- <br />formance and of the Mounds View Playcenter Program. In this <br />report I will discuss the Playcenter Leaders', parents', and <br />my own comments and suggestions. <br />The self-evaluation began by asking each leader if she/he <br />thought that the activities of which were provided at their <br />park (Woodcrest, Groveland, Lambert, or Hillview) promoted <br />participation and interest for the area youths. Each leader <br />responded positively. For instance, a leader cited Groveland <br />Park's attendance saying that the Park had increasing atten- <br />dance all summer. He continued to say that the children <br />enjoyed the activities at Groveland Park and kept coming back. <br />Groveland Park had 108 youths registered for the Playcenter <br />Program of which about 70 attended each day. <br />In addition to a large turnout at the parks, the Play - <br />center Leaders felt that there were several other good points <br />in the Mounds View Summer Playground Program. Most of the <br />leaders applauded each other, the Mounds View Park and Recre- <br />ation coordination/supervision, and administration. Many <br />leaders addressed the Playcenter Program and its employees as <br />-1- <br />
