1 CI V vodgview
RAMSEY COUNTY, MINNESOTA
2401 HIGHWAY 10
MOUNDS VIEW, MINN 55112
784-3055
November 28, 1989
Ms. Kathy Friedman, President
Sunnyside PTA
5148 Brighton Lane
New Brighton, MN 55112
Dear Ms. Friedman:
Recently, I received the enclosed brochure entitled "PTA Today'. This brochure
provides information regarding quality youth sports through the NYSCA "Say Yes To
Better Sports for Kids" campaign.
Mounds View Parks, Recreation and Forestry Department is a certified NYSCA Chapter.
I am a certified clinician for training youth coaches. The Mounds View Parks,
Recreation and Forestry Department supports and administers the philosophy that
NYSCA aspires. I wholeheartedly encourage the Sunnyside PTA to discuss and
implement the suggestions on the back page regarding the "Say Yes" campaign. I
would be happy to attend a meeting if you wish to know more about NYSCA. I have
many NYSCA tapes that give a perspective to the NYSCA philosophy for youth sports.
It is not only important to influence coaches, but also parents to the benefit of a
program with a solid youth sports philosophy, one that builds a child's psychological,
emotional and physical skills.
If you wish to call me to discuss this matter further, please call me at 784-3055.
Sincerely,
Mary Saarion, Director
Parks, Recreation and Forestry
MS/SL
Enclosure
