MEMO TO: MIKE ULRICH, PUBLIC WORKS FOREMAN FROM: MARY SAARION, DIRECTOR PARKS, RECREATION AND FORESTRY DATE: DECEMBER 26, 1989 SUBJECT: 1990 PARK PROJECTS As you requested, here is a list of park projects that I would like to complete in the parks in 1990: 1. Redo the interior of Hillview Park building including replacing the ceiling tiles and wall paneling with particle board, painting and trimming the walls. New interior doors and closet also need to be provided. Fxwaraed aut-te-a4oeaI-c-arpente-r, -1�4 - Hoasc . 2. Installation of the backstop, players benches, and bleachers at Oakwood Park. This work could be contracted out if you believe that staff will be spread too thin this spring. This work needs to be completed by May 1. 3. Installation of sand volleyball court and horseshoe pits at Oakwood Park area. I would like to keep these two projects open for an Eagle Scout project. 4. Make and install a swing door on the Woodcrest Park portable toilet enclosure. Mrs. Kraska, the resident across Woodcrest Drive has called to complain that the portable restroom facility can be seen out of her windows. She has requested the door. Also, the Oakwood portable restroom enclosure should be relocated to the play area across the street, closer to the play equipment area. 5. Continued turf management at Silver View fields. This project is all yours! irimrn� 6. I still would like those bushes ya=from the corners of Hillview tot lot. They are too large and scraggly. 7. Greenfield Park - work here all depends on what happens with financing and donations. I presume most of the work would be contracted out. 8. Silver View Park - work here also depends upon recommendations from the Task Force and decisions from Council. I would expect that most projects would be contracted out except such things as: Installation of grills or benches. Continued maintenance of trail. Sweeping parking lot. - Trash removal. - Field maintenance.
