MINUTES OF THE PROCEEDINGS OF THE <br />PARKS AND RECREATION COMMISSION <br />CITY OF MOUNDS VIEW <br />COUNTY OF RAMSEY <br />STATE OF MINNESOTA <br />May 24, 1990 <br />Mounds View City Hall <br />7:45 p.m. <br />Before the regular meeting, the Commission met with the Spring Lake Park <br />Commission at Lakeside Park to review recent improvements. <br />CALL TO ORDER The meeting was called to order at 7:45 p.m. by <br />Chairperson Wayne Burmeister. <br />ROLL CALL Commissioners present: Burmeister, Long, Silvis, <br />Starr, Stevenson, Trettel. <br />Councilmembers present: Hankner, Quick. <br />Staff present: Director Saarion. <br />MINUTES A motion was made by Commissioner Silvis and <br />seconded by Commissioner Starr to approve the April <br />26, 1990 minutes as written. Motion passed: <br />6 ayes, 0 nayes. <br />COUNCILMEMBER'S REPORT None. <br />CHAIRPERSON'S REPORT Chairperson Burmeister reminded Commissioners of <br />the Lakeside Park beach house dedication to be held <br />Saturday, June 9. <br />AGENDA ADDITIONS: None <br />YOUTH/SENIOR CITIZEN/ <br />PRESCHOOL FACILITY The Commission reiterated their desire to suggest to <br />the City Council the idea of adding a facility to City <br />Hall to be used for a youth center/senior citizen <br />meeting area and pre-school facility. The <br />Commission requested that Councilmember Quick <br />relay this request to the architectural interviewers <br />during the Council's session for City Hall renovation <br />ideas. <br />
