5. Monitor Beaver Use and Prevent Colonization <br />The pond should be monitored for beaver use periodically and <br />any beaver that move in should be removed. Should beaver <br />colonize the pond, the outlet structure will need to be <br />cleaned continually. Also, any landscape plantings that are <br />to be protected from cutting must be wrapped with 1/2 inch <br />mesh hardware cloth to a height of 3 feet. <br />93 <br />
