C(t4 of VOUH gvile <br />RAMSEY COUNTY, MINNESOTA <br />2401 HIGHWAY 10 <br />MOUNDS VIEW, MINN. 55112 <br />784-3055 <br />FAX: 784-3462 <br />May 30, 1990 <br />To the Mounds View City Council: <br />The Mounds View Parks and Recreation Commission has reviewed the proposal for <br />improvements to Silver View Park as recommended by the Silver View Task Force. <br />The Commission recommends three modifications. One is the recommendation of a <br />hard surface pathway on the north side of the pond from Long Lake Road to the <br />picnic shelter. <br />The second recommendation is the provision of two play structures, one in front of <br />the picnic shelter specifically for pre-schoolers and one to the west of the picnic <br />shelter, to be handicapped accessible and designed for 6-12 year olds. <br />The third recommendation is to add sprinkling capabilities for future needs at the <br />soccer field and picnic shelter area. <br />The Commission unanimously and wholeheartedly approves the Silver View Park <br />Improvement Plan, including these additions, and recommends adoption by the City <br />Council, and requests implementation as soon as possible. <br />Wayne Burmeister, Chairperson <br />Frank Silvis, Commissioner <br />David Long, Commissio r Pam Starr, Commis ' ner <br />n <br />Gary Stevenson, Commissioner Edd Trettel, Commissioner <br />4 <br />printed on recycled paper <br />
