PRELIMINARY PARICLAND DEVELOPMENT PROGRAM <br />SILVER VIEW COMMUNrIY PARK <br />IMPROVEMENTS <br />MARCH, 1990 <br />FACILITY: <br />Request compliance from nearby areas to confine fertilizers to those <br />without phosphorous. <br />PRIMARY ACTIVITY/FUNCTION: <br />To decrease the imbalance of phosphorous in the pond which increases <br />the abundance of macrophyte growth. <br />PLAN DESCRIPTION: <br />RECREATION CRITERIA: <br />GENERAL MAINTENANCE CRITERIA: <br />Have the pond water tested twice per year to keep abreast of potential <br />chemical imbalances so that further chemical restrictions can be <br />determined and recommended to help manage the pond. <br />GENERAL DESIGN CRITERIA: <br />Encourage the surrounding property owners in the Silver View pond <br />storm water drainage area to use fertilizer low in phosphorus by means of <br />informational material published in the City Newsletter and with <br />informational letters sent to the neighboring residents. <br />21 <br />
