PRELIMINARY PARIC AND DEVELOPMENT PROGRAM <br />SILVER VIEW COMMUNITY PARK <br />IMPROVEMENTS <br />MARCH, 1990 <br />FACILITY: <br />Pond buffer areas. <br />PRIMARY ACTIVITY/FUNCTION: <br />To serve as a buffer for filtering fertilizer run-off, to catch litter before <br />entering pond and to offer more nesting areas for wildlife. <br />PLAN DESCRIPTION: <br />The plan indicates the pond and surrounding trail as a nature area <br />available for wildlife observation. To provide wildlife habitat, the area <br />must offer nesting cover of long grasses to provide appropriate nesting <br />areas. <br />RECREATION CRITERIA: <br />GENERAL MAINTENANCE CRITERIA: <br />Mowing will be done as close as practical allowing for a reasonable buffer <br />area around the pond and mowing up to any wooded areas. <br />GENERAL DESIGN CRITERIA: <br />Mowing will be done on a regular weekly schedule as weather permits. <br />20 <br />
