BUTTON CONTEST/ SALES —
Sherri Timmons and CC Schuldt from the Mounds View Square Merchants Association have
taken on the task of a Button Contest. Coordinating with Sunnyside and Pinewood Elementary
Schools, children will be given the chance to design a "Theme Button" for this year's Festival.
A winner will be chosen from the entries and button circles will be printed. Mounds View Girl
Scouts, working for a badge, will then make up the buttons. Buttons can then be sold in
Mounds View businesses with proceeds going to help fund youth oriented Festival in the Park
events.
"Festival in the Park " Week - during the week preceding the Festival it is hoped that local
businesses will offer discounts (left up to each individual business) for people wearing their
"Festival in the Park" button into their establishment. Example: Free beverage with the
purchase of a Whopper; or free cup of coffee with a purchase of two donuts, etc. for people
wearing a Festival button. IF YOUR BUSINESS WOULD LIKE TO PARTICIPATE, PLEASE
CALL SHARIE LINKE AT 784-0618. The more businesses participating the better!
