Jerry Skelly is looking into the possibility of producing a video
that could be used by the Focus team Housing and Neighborhoods.
It is not sure whether or not it can be done, but the team had
mentioned that they would like to present their report in an
interesting way. We'll see how it goes.
GOLF COURSE INFOR:
Garrett Gill attended the Rice Creek Watershed hearing on
Wednesday, December 29 and conveyed that the permit was approved,
thank goodness! This was a very important item because unless
approved before the first of the new year, we would need to
comply with the new, more stringent regulation requirements. We
made it, after an earlier tabling because they needed additional
information regarding the judicial ditches. Changes that were
necessary included the installation of bridges instead of
culverts as originally planned. The culverts, to be installed at
their maize stipulations would have been cost prohibitive.
Therefore, the change to bridges kept us in budget and appeased
the Rice Creek Watershed authorities. So the plan includes
bridges rather than culverts while traversing the, judicial
ditches on the course. Paul Miller will be present at the Golf
Course Task Force meeting on Thursday, January 6 to further
update us on these changes.
