My OF
"Quite Simply the Best"
April 12, 1994
Dear City Resident:
Phone: (612) 784-3055
Fax: (612) 784-3462
Several calls have been received by City Hall from park users
complaining of the extreme amount of dog feces in Greenfield
Park. Efforts are being made with this letter to inform
residents that dog owners are responsible for the clean up of
their pets in the parks. City Code # 52.15 requires all pets to
be on leashes in the parks and no pet is to defecate in the
parks. On occasions that pets do defalcate in the parks, it is
the responsibility of the person walking the pet to remove the
feces either with a "pooper scooper" or with the use of a plastic
bag. .The penalty for non compliance is $25.00 per incident. The
police have been notified of the problem and will be making an
effort to enforce this regulation.
Please inform your neighbors and others that you may see
violating this park regulation about this City Code. We certainly
want our parks to be inviting to residents and surely do not wish
to see our parks full of dog feces. Help us in the quest to have
clean parks so that everyone can enjoy the parks.
Your assistance in this matter is greatly appreciated.
Sincerely,
Mary Saarion, Director
Parks, Recreation & Forestry
PRINUO 4' 1
3YINK •- 2401 Highway 10 • Mounds View, MN 55112-1499
