DRAFT DRAFT DRAFT DRAFT DRAFT <br />RAMSEY COUNTY PARKS AND RECREATION COMMISSION <br />MINUTES <br />MARCH 8, 1994 <br />The regular meeting of the Ramsey County Parks and Recreation Commission was called to order <br />by Chairman Nolan at 6:00 p.m., in the First Floor Conference Room, Ramsey County Parks and <br />Recreation Department, 2015 North Van Dyke Street, Maplewood, Minnesota. <br />Members Present: Marge Anderson, Gary Botzek, Bill Frank and Mark Nolan <br />Members Absent: Linda Ford and Janey Gohl <br />Staff Present: Greg Mack, Larry Holmberg and Cheryl Myran <br />Arnroval of Agenda <br />Chairman Nolan asked for a motion to approve the agenda. Mr. Frank moved, seconded by Ms. <br />Anderson, that the agenda be approved. Motion carried. <br />Approval of Minutes <br />Chairman Nolan asked for a motion to approve the minutes of the regular meeting of February 8, <br />1994. Mr. Frank moved, seconded by Ms. Anderson, that the minutes of the February 8, <br />1994, meeting be approved as mailed. Motion carried. <br />Ramsey County Bike Trail Map Committee "Bikeway" Definitions <br />The Ramsey County Bike Path Map Committee met on February 17, 1994, to review the base <br />map. Mr. Mack distributed copies of a memo Jon Walsh sent to all Ramsey County municipalities <br />which gave an overview of the February 17 meeting and included two categories of bikeways the <br />committee recommended be used to create the County map: <br />1) Off -Road Bike Paths defined as multipurpose paths, a minimum of 8 feet wide, <br />separated from the roadway. <br />2) On -Road Striped Bike Lanes defined as a paved shoulder, a minimum of 8 feet wide on <br />state highways and a minimum of 4 feet wide on roads with a speed limit of 35 mph or <br />slower, separated from traffic by striping. <br />
