1994 WARMING HOUSE SURVEY <br />RESPONSE <br />Forty cities responded to the survey with the largest being <br />Minneapolis (pop. 371,000) and the smallest Spring Lake Park <br />(7, 000) . <br />NUMBER OF SUPERVISED RINKS WARMING HOUSES HOCKEY RINKS AND OPEN <br />SKATING FACILITIES• <br />Survey responses indicate that eight cities (Apple Valley, Eagan, <br />New Brighton, Plymouth, Richfield, Rosemount, Roseville and St. <br />Louis Park) maintain rinks for hockey or open skating without <br />warming houses. <br />Only four cities (Arden Hills, Eden Prairie, Fridley and <br />Shoreview) have an equal number of hockey rinks and open skating <br />areas. <br />Nine cities maintain more hockey rinks than open skating <br />areas (Anoka +5, Bloomington +2; Cottage Grove +1; Eagan +4; <br />Hopkins/Minnetonka +4; Minneapolis +16; Plymouth +3; <br />Richfield +1; and Shakopee +3). <br />See Attachment 1 for listing of this information by total <br />population. <br />HOURS OF OPERATION <br />Responding cities (39) indicate Monday - Friday hours during <br />school days operate a minimum of 3 hours to a maximum of 8. <br />Saturday operations vary from 4 hours to 13.
