Care Crew
<br />This is a local assistance program designed to help
<br />elderly, handicapped, disabled, single parent families
<br />and the financial challenged in the care and upkeep of
<br />their homes and property. Types of projects would
<br />include:
<br />Outside Work - snow removal, raking leaves, window
<br />cleaning, gutter cleaning, downed tree removal, etc.
<br />Minor repairs - repairs of faucets, toilets, light
<br />switches, light bulbs, sticky doors, weather stripping,
<br />door knobs, locks, dead bolts, appliances, screen/
<br />windows, etc.
<br />Social concerns - writing letters, visits, personal
<br />assistance, etc.
<br />(Note: there will be NO new work, unless health or
<br />safety necessitates and then will be subcontracted
<br />out. Also NO jobs will require permits. Referrals
<br />requiring professional skills and/or licences are
<br />available, and will provide excellent work at reasonable
<br />rates.
<br />CLIENT CRITERIA - Income based, elderly, handi-
<br />capped, disabled, unable, single parent families.
<br />INSURANCE ISSUES - Homeowners/ renters
<br />insurance required, worker/ volunteer insurance -
<br />liability coverage minimum, a liability waiver to be
<br />signed by owner/ renter.
<br />FINANCING - Client pays for parts and materials.
<br />PROGRAM ISSUES - Volunteers will contact
<br />clients directly to make arrangements and scheduling
<br />plans.

<br />ImmunizataionClinic
<br />Ramsey County Public Health is conducting a monthly
<br />immunization clinic in Mounds
<br />View. This will be held on
<br />the fourth Tuesday of
<br />each month from 2:30 - /
<br />5:30 pm. at the City Hall,
<br />2401 Highway 10. This Q
<br />clinic will be in addition to
<br />clinics in New Brighton,
<br />Roseville, and White Bear
<br />Lake.
<br />All immunizations recommended for infants, children,
<br />and teens will be available, as well as those required
<br />by college programs, and tetanus shots for adults.
<br />There are no residential requirements for clinic use and
<br />no one will be denied service because they are unable
<br />to pay.
<br />The clinics are used mostly by people who have no
<br />insurance coverage for immunizations and/or would
<br />have to pay for them at their clinic.

<br />Community Band
<br />Musicians of all ages who have a couple years of
<br />experience can join the
<br />Northern Suburbs Community
<br />Band. The band meets once
<br />a week to practice and plays
<br />in 4 - 5 concerts a year. Call
