<br />The Mounds View Vision <br />A Thriving Desirable Community <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />RESOLUTION 9274 <br /> <br />CITY OF MOUNDS VIEW <br />COUNTY OF RAMSEY <br />STATE OF MINNESOTA <br /> <br />APPROVAL FOR THE REPAIRS OF THE EVENT CENTER DIVIDER WALL PANELS <br />AT THE MOUNDS VIEW COMMUNITY CENTER <br /> <br />WHEREAS , A meeting was conducted with the YMCA Staff members regarding building <br />alterations for the Community Center and the ideas were presented to the YMCA Advisory <br />Committee; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS , the Event Center has wall room divider panels allowing the area to be partition <br />in smaller rooms; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS , the wall room divider panels are original (1997) and are in need of repair or <br />replacement; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS , Staff has received three quotes to repair and replace the wall divider panels <br />as follows: <br />• Skold Specialty Contracting LLC, for $99,995.00 <br />• H & B Specialized Products, Inc. for $103,839.00 <br />• Hall Co for $136,263.00 <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Mounds View, <br />Ramsey County, Minnesota as follows: <br /> <br />1. Approves the quote from Skold Contracting LLC of Isanti MN, to repair and replace <br />the wall divider panels at the Community Center at a cost of $99,955.00 to be funded <br />from account 480-4160-7050, Special Projects. <br /> <br />2. Staff also recommends a 5% contingency of $4,999.75 for any unforeseen issues that <br />may arise. <br /> <br />3. The Director of Public Works is hereby authorized and directed to execute all <br />appropriate documents to effectuate the actions contemplated by this resolution. <br /> <br />4. The Mayor and City Administrator, Staff and consultants are hereby authorized and <br />directed to take any and all additional steps and actions necessary or convenient in <br />order to accomplish the intent of this Resolution. <br /> <br /> Adopted this 11th day of May , 2020 <br /> <br /> ____________________________________ <br /> Carol A.
