<br />The Mounds View Vision <br />A Thriving Desirable Community <br /> <br />RESOLUTION 9286 <br /> <br />CITY OF MOUNDS VIEW <br />COUNTY OF RAMSEY <br />STATE OF MINNESOTA <br /> <br />APPROVING THE PROPOSAL FOR THE NEW CITY HAL ADMINISTRATION ENTRANCE <br />AS PART OF THE PHASE 2 - REMODEL OF CITY HALL <br /> <br /> <br />WHEREAS , the City Council approved at the May 13, 2019 the City Hall/Police <br />Remodel; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS , the City Council and Staff had discussed phase 2 of the remodel which <br />includes new carpet and painting and a new Administration entrance; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS , the 2020 budget in the Special Projects has funds for this project; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS , Public Works received the following proposals: <br /> Dering Pierson Group, LLC: $23,446.78 <br /> RAK Construction: $32,500.00 <br /> <br />WHEREAS , Public Works also further recommends a contingency of $12,600 .00 be <br />approved for any electrical modifications, installation of electronic door hardware and <br />unforeseen issues that may arise during this project. <br /> <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Mounds View, <br />Ramsey County, Minnesota as follows: <br /> <br />1. Accepts the Proposal from Dering Pierson Group, for $23,446.78, for installing a new <br />entrance to the Administration area of City Hall. <br /> <br />2. Approves an allowance of $16,050.00 for electrical modifications and the installation of <br />electronic door hardware. <br /> <br />3. Funding exists in the Special Project Fund, account 480-4180-7050 for this project. <br /> <br />4. The Mayor and City Administrator are hereby authorized and directed to execute all <br />appropriate documents to effectuate the actions contemplated by this resolution. <br /> <br />5. The Mayor and City Administrator, Staff and consultants are hereby authorized and directed <br />to take any and all additional steps and actions necessary or convenient in order to <br />accomplish the intent of this Resolution. <br /> <br /> Adopted this 8th day of June, 2020 <br /> <br />Carol A.
