The Mounds View Vision <br />A Thriving Desirable Community <br /> <br /> <br />Item No: 5D <br />Meeting Date: June 22, 2020 <br />Type of Business: Consent Agenda <br />Administrator Review: ____ <br />City of Mounds View Staff Report <br />To: Honorable Mayor and City Council <br />From: Don Peterson, Public Works Director <br />Item Title/Subject: Resolution 9283 Approving Asset Management Software for <br />the Water Treatment Plants and Sanitary Sewer Lift Stations <br /> <br />Introduction: <br />Public Works has been engaged in software/technology upgrades specific to Asset <br />Management to aid in the inventory, management, and maintenance of Mounds Views <br />capital dollar investment in streets, municipal water utilities, storm and sanitary sewer <br />utilities, parks, trees, as well as other infrastructure. <br /> <br />Discussion: <br />The City Council were provided an overview at the June 6, 2020 work session of OP- <br />Works, an Asset Management Software for the Water Treatment Facilities and the <br />Sanitary Sewer Lift stations. This would be incorporated in conjunction with the current <br />Water Treatment Rehabilitation Project and it was a consensus from the Council to <br />proceed. <br /> <br />Features of this Asset Management Software: <br />• Perform and track work against assets via Work Orders and Shift <br /> Notes <br />• Attach documents (Operations and Maintenance Manuals, <br />• Schematics, Drawings, Standard Operating Procedures, etc.) <br />• Attach and monitor manual or SCADA readings <br />• Store customizable and templates of asset characteristic <br /> information (Manufacturer, Serial Number, Date Installed, etc.) <br />• Run a maintenance report to view work history <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />Strategic Plan Strategy/Goal: Maintain and Plan for Infrastructure Improvements. Goal <br />Focus efforts on recruiting good employees and providing an environment to keep them. <br /> <br />Financial Impact: No Financial Impact to the 2020 Budget, as funding is in the <br />Water/Sewer Enterprise Funds. <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />
