Reports of Mayor and Council. 5 <br /> 6 <br />Council Member Meehlhause reported he would be attending a virtual NYFS meeting on 7 <br />Thursday, June 25th. 8 <br /> 9 <br />Mayor Mueller stated she would be attending a virtual League of Minnesota Cities Annual 10 <br />meeting on Thursday, June 25th and on Friday, June 26th she would attending a virtual Minnesota 11 <br />Women in City Government Annual meeting. She reported the Town Hall meeting for District 42 12 <br />that was scheduled for last Friday, June 19th was rescheduled to Sunday, June 28th at 4:00 p.m. 13 <br /> 14 <br />Mayor Mueller noted she spoke with a resident that lives at the corner of Quincy and Bronson. 15 <br />She thanked the Public Works Department staff for visiting this resident’s home in order to 16 <br />address their concerns. 17 <br /> 18 <br />Mayor Mueller commented she completed a Mayor’s Message with CTV on Tuesday, June 16th. 19 <br /> 20 <br />Council Member Gunn reported COVID testing was now being conducted at CVS in Mounds 21 <br />View. 22 <br /> 23 <br /> B. Reports of Staff. 24 <br /> 25 <br />Finance Director Beer stated staff was preparing a draft RFP for new meters and readers. He 26 <br />commented on how the self-service model within the utility billing software would save a great 27 <br />deal of staff time in processing payments. He explained the cost for the software module was 28 <br />$1,600 per year plus $1.25 per transaction. 29 <br /> 30 <br />Public Works Director Peterson discussed the point of sale program. He noted the City has had 31 <br />68 applications to date. 32 <br /> 33 <br />Public Works Director Peterson updated the Council on the 2020 street improvement project. It 34 <br />was noted heavy street work would begin the week of July 6th. 35 <br /> 36 <br />City Administrator Zikmund discussed the requirements the County had put in place in order to 37 <br />reopen splash pads. 38 <br /> 39 <br />City Administrator Zikmund commented on the items that would be discussed at the Council’s 40 <br />July worksession meeting. 41 <br /> 42 <br />City Administrator Zikmund explained staff met with Mr. Fields to discuss a potential subdivision. 43 <br /> 44
