1 <br /> <br />RESOLUTION NO. 9297 <br /> <br />CITY OF MOUNDS VIEW <br />COUNTY OF RAMSEY <br />STATE OF MINNESOTA <br /> <br />RESOLUTION UPDATING THE EQUAL OPPORTUNITY POLICY IN <br />THE CITY’S PERSONNEL MANUAL <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, Section 1.01 of the Personnel Manual for the City of Mounds View <br />contains a provision outlining the City’s Equal Employment Opportunity Policy; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, pursuant to the express terms of the Personnel Manual, the City <br />reserves the right, at its discretion, to change or terminate any provision of the Personnel <br />Manual or to add new provisions at any time without prior notification, and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City currently has no State or Federal contracts requiring the <br />City to maintain an affirmative action policy, and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, it is in the best interest of the City for the Equal Employment <br />Opportunity Policy to be revised to reflect the City’s past practices as well as to include <br />wording recommended by the League of Minnesota Cities with regard to equal <br />employment opportunities for all employees and applicants for employment. <br /> <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the Mounds View City Council <br />approves as follows: <br /> <br />1. The recitals set forth in this resolution are incorporated into and made a part <br />of this resolution. <br />2. Section 1.01 of the Mounds View Personnel Manual is hereby revised and <br />replaced with Exhibit A. <br />3. The City Administrator, staff and consultants are hereby authorized and <br />directed to take any and all additional steps and actions necessary or <br />convenient in order to accomplish the intent of this resolution. <br /> <br /> Adopted this 24th day of August, 2020. <br /> <br /> ____________________________________ <br /> Carol A.
