RESOLUTION 9310 <br />CITY OF MOUNDS VIEW <br />COUNTY OF RAMSEY <br />STATE OF MINNESOTA <br />APPROVING STORM SEWER REPAIR AT 2223 BRONSON DRIVE <br />WHEREAS, Public Works Staff investigated a potential problem with a storm <br />sewer line located on the 2223 Bronson Drive and discovered that the pipe is heaved and <br />not allowing proper drainage of the storm water pond; and <br />WHEREAS, Staff determined that the best method for repairs of the storm sewer <br />line is to have the entire pipe replaced; and <br />WHEREAS, Staff contacted two companies to provide a quote for the repairs: <br />■ T A. Schifsky & Sons Inc. $20,078.00 <br />■ Dave Perkins Contracting Inc. $26,416.35 <br />WHEREAS, the funding for these repairs is budgeted in the Storm Sewer fund, <br />745-4415-5150, which includes $30,000.00 for repairs and maintenance of storm sewers. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Mounds <br />View, Ramsey County, Minnesota as follows: <br />1. The City hereby approves the quote from T. A Schifsky & Sons Inc. of St. Paul <br />MN, for $20,078.00 for replacing the storm sewer pipe at 2223 Bronson Drive <br />in the City of Mounds View. Council also approves a 10% contingency of <br />$2,078.00 for any unforeseen expenditures. <br />2. Funding will be from the Storm Sewer Fund, 745-4415-5150. <br />3. The Mayor and City Administrator are hereby authorized and directed to <br />execute all appropriate documents to effectuate the actions contemplated by <br />this resolution. <br />4.
