MEMORANDUM OF UNDERSTANDING <br />BETWEEN THE CITY OF MOUNDS VIEW AND <br />THE PUBLIC WORKS COLLECTIVE BARGAINING UNIT <br />TRAVEL TIME PAY FOR WEEKENDS AND HOLIDAYS <br />This Memorandum of Understanding is made between the Public Works Collective <br />Bargaining Unit ("Union") and the City of Mounds View ("City"). <br />WHEREAS, the Union and the City are parties to a collective bargaining <br />agreement; <br />WHEREAS, the collective bargaining agreement does not contain a provision for <br />travel time when members of the bargaining unit are requested to work on weekends and <br />holidays in order to perform snow and ice control operations, or due to utility emergencies, <br />weather emergencies, or other hazards. <br />NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED THAT, the parties hereto agree as follow: <br />1. Members of the bargaining unit will receive a half-hour of pay for driving to work <br />on weekends and holidays when called in to perform snow and ice control <br />operations, utility or weather emergencies, or other hazards. <br />2.
