Item No: 8.E. <br />M0L--T1-MtSVVfE-W <br />Meeting Date December 1u 2020 Type of Business: Council Business <br />Administrator review: <br />City of Mounds View Staff Report <br />To: Honorable Mayor and City Council <br />From: Rayla Sue Ewald, Human Resources Coordinator <br />Item Title/Subject: Resolution 9352 Authorizing Severance for Police Officer Kirsten Heineman <br />Background <br />Police Officer Kirsten Heineman has retired from the City of Mounds View effective December 3, 2020. <br />Officer Heineman has been employed by the City for 11 years (June 1, 2009). Attached is Resolution <br />9352, which authorizes severance to Officer Heineman in accordance with the City's Personnel Manual. <br />Discussion <br />Section 2.12 of the Personnel Manual indicates that employees who resign shall be compensated for any <br />accrued and unused vacation hours and, with two (2) or more years of service, employees are eligible to <br />receive a payout of sick leave subject to the terms and provisions addressed in Section 2.11 regarding <br />the Retirement Health Savings Plan.
