A monument sign is shown within the 30’ sight triangle of Mounds View Blvd and Long Lake Rd. Staff recommends that all signage be reviewed administratively at the time sign permits are applied for. Trash Disposal Located in east side-yard. Because lot is a triple-frontage lot (three front yards), it is very limited where the dumpster can go, unless located inside the building. Construction Timetable Tentatively; spring 2020 – late fall 2020. Summary The applicant is requesting to construct a car wash at the former Snyder’s property; 2525 Mounds View Boulevard, requiring a Conditional Use Permit and Development Review. The City Council will conduct a Public Hearing on January 13, 2020. Strategic Plan Strategy/Goal: Create and maintain a positive business climate where businesses want to locate and remain in Mounds View. Staff Recommendation Staff recommends that this be tabled, pending revised building elevation drawings are provided that demonstrate compliance with City Code. If the Planning Commission is comfortable with the building’s appearance, then it would be appropriate to recommend approval, pending that the applicant provide more detailed plans to the City Council. The attached Resolution 1111-19, recommends approval of a Conditional Use Permit, and Development Review, pending revised plans are submitted prior to the City Council’s Public Hearing. The City Council will hold a Public Hearing on Monday, January 13, 2020 at 6:30 PM. Action Requested The Planning Commission is requested to consider the following options: 1. Approve Resolution 1111-19, recommending approval of the CUP/Development Review.
