Exhibit A <br />Position Title: <br />Department: <br />Accountable to: <br />Status: <br />CITY OF MOUNDS VIEW <br />POSITION DESCRIPTION <br />Front Desk Lead <br />Parks and Recreation / Community Center <br />Public Works/Parks and Recreation Director <br />Non -Exempt Part -Time <br />PRIMARY OBJECTIVE OF POSITON <br />Under the guidance and supervision of the Parks and Recreation Superintendent, this position is <br />responsible to handle the daily operation of the Parks and Recreation front desk and provide <br />leadership to the Front Desk Staff members in order to ensure the overall delivery of excellent <br />customer service to all participants and guests. <br />SUPERVISION RECEIVED <br />Works under the general guidance and direction of the Parks and Recreation Superintendent. <br />SUPERVISION EXERCISED <br />None. <br />ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES <br />• Responsible for opening and closing of the facility. <br />• Provide work direction for part-time Front Desk Staff. <br />■ Provide excellent customer service to participants and guests of the Parks and Recreation <br />Department. <br />• Assist customers with daily admission and registration in programs, which includes <br />addressing and resolving customer questions, reserving rooms/shelters, and providing <br />receipts. <br />• Answer and direct all calls in a professional, friendly manner and take complete and <br />accurate messages. <br />• Perform data entry of new participants and update existing information in database. <br />• Sort and distribute incoming mail, packages, and other correspondence. <br />■ Maintain a clean and well organized work area. <br />• Receive and process registrations for classes and programs. <br />• Provide tours to customers through the facility. <br />• Scan and properly file documents electronically to ensure efficient and effective future <br />retrieval. <br />• Make copies and assist Parks and Recreation Superintendent, Recreation Coordinator, and <br />Event Manager/Recreation Coordinator when asked. <br />• Close out cash drawer daily and prepare shift close report for Parks and Recreation <br />Superintendent. <br />Performs other duties as assigned. <br />MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS <br />High School graduate or have a GED. <br />• One year customer service experience. <br />Committed to working a part-time schedule of up to 20 - 25 hours per week which include <br />weekdays (8:00 a.m. — 7:00 p.m.); weekends (10:00 a.m. — 4:00 p.m.), and school breaks <br />(8:00 a.m. — 7:00 p.m.). <br />• First Aid certified or willing to become certified within 30 days of hire. <br />• Willing to work with people of diverse backgrounds. <br />
